1. Choose Suitable & Correct Shampoo

Not everybody has the same textured hair. For example, the shampoo which is suitable for your friend who may have dry hair is not appropriate for your oily hair. There are different types of shampoos, conditioners, and other hair care products. Firstly you need to know your hair texture and then choose the proper product carefully.

2. Avoid Extra Chemicals & Over Heat

Extra use of chemicals and heats such as hair colouring, highlighting, or straightening or curling with hair styler can leave a remarkable effect on your hair and make them dry and freeze. And, if use curling, straightening is necessary then remember to use a hair protectant before that.

3. Daily Care

Daily hair care is most important. Do not use hash and too many different types of hair products. Daily hair cleansing, conditioning, and combing are very necessary. Of course, there are certain products that you absolutely must use, like shampoo, conditioner, and serum, but try and avoid bottled hair products as much as possible.

4. Put Extra Attention To Wet Hair

Wet hair is very fragile and breaks easily. When wet, the shaft and roots of your hair are more prone to sustaining damage. Don’t be too harsh when shampooing. And also avoid brushing immediately after a shower. If you have to then use a shower cap instead.

5. Don’t Tie Too Tight

Always protect your hair from sun, wind, and rain. Exposure to excessive sun, heat, dirt, pollution, etc. adds to our already existent hair woes. These can lead to dirt build up, drying out of hair and scalp, increased susceptibility to infections on the scalp. Cover your hair with an umbrella or a hat. Even your dupatta will do or you can also use sun protecting hair cream or serum.

Sleeping on satin pillow covers is well known to reduce hair breakage due to friction. Cotton and other materials are quite rough in texture. Due to which they also cause more friction against your hair.

8. Oil Massage Is Necessary

Oiling scalp is actually very effective and good for hair. It helps to keep hair shiny and healthy and also increases hair growth. But always remember that dripping oil from your hair will only need you to use more shampoo which strips out more of your natural oils no matter how mild it is.

9. Comb Your Hair Carefully

Combing hair is a sure shot way to increase the lustre of your hair. It spreads the natural oils through the length of your hair. But do not over do this. It can cause breakage.

10. Cold Water Cleansing

Use cold water for washing your hair. It will probably increase the chances of falling sick but hot water affects hair the same way as heat styling methods do. Cold does not exactly mean freezing cold, but you can use water at room temperature instead.
